EOS Founder and CEO

Dr. Hans J. Langer founded EOS in 1989 and today is its major shareholder steering the strategic direction of the EOS group as Chief Executive Officer. He contributes more than 30 years of experience in sales and marketing of laser based solutions. Before founding EOS his career included being Managing Director Europe at General Scanning, Inc. On a scientific level he worked at the Max-Planck-Institute for plasma physics at Ludwig-Maximilians university in Munich where he received his Ph. D. with a thesis on laser technology.  

Executive Vice President Strategy and Business Development

In January 2010, Dr. Adrian Keppler joint EOS taking over the responsibility for Strategy and Business Development. In September 2011 he was appointed to become a member of the corporate management team, focusing on the clear goal to further accelerate EOS’ development towards becoming a leading provider of e-Manufacturing solutions. He first studied Geotechnical Engineering, then Economics and started his professional career 1994 at a Swiss company for measurement and monitoring systems. Since 2000 up until he joined EOS he was in charge of a number of strategic and operational executive functions at Siemens AG with a particular focus on Consulting (growth, value creation, and innovation) and the commercialization of solutions.

Executive Vice President Operations and Strategic Supply Chain

As an external consultant Christian Kirner since 2009 supported the EOS management with view to the company’s strategic and business transformation. In March 2010 Kirner was appointed as the manager of the EOS strategy program 2012 which aims at translating the EOS vision 2020 into concrete actions and to advance the company’s operational reorientation. As a manager of the operations division, Christian Kirner as well took over the responsibility for the entire value chain including the logistics, production, and development and quality functions. After studying business based computer science Kirner worked for several international companies in the electronic and telecommunication industry. Before joining EOS Kirner acted as a partner in a consulting company.

Executive Vice President Sales and Sales Support

Peter Klink joined EOS in 1996 setting up a worldwide sales organization. In Corporate Management Peter Klink is responsible for Global Customer Relations which includes sales as well as support. Also Global Marketing is reporting to Peter Klink. Before joining EOS, Klink held a number of managing positions in high-tech organizations and looks back to more than 25 year of professional experience. He has a master’s degree in computer science from University of Karlsruhe.  

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Johann Oberhofer joined EOS in 1991 and held several management positions ever since. In 1999 he became the Chief Operating Officer and since then he had the overall operations responsibility for the company. Since December 2010 Oberhofer is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of EOS, covering the company’s Human Resources, Operational Controlling, Legal and Intellectual Property Management, IT and Facility Management functions. He is holding a master’s degree in engineering and management from the University of Munich for Applied Sciences and has more than 25 years of experience in the laser industry.
