Qualification

1. Personnel qualification

  • The personnel must be certified as having the knowledge and skills as defined by EOS in the Basic Training for the relevant technology.
  • Technology (machine) status
  • The laser-sintering technology status (including machine type and version and PSW version) is to be specified and documented.
  • The minimum requirement is for a regular maintenance in accordance with the EOS maintenance plan for the relevant machine(s).
  • The laser-sintering machine(s) are to be operated in environment conditions which conform to the defined EOS Installation Requirements.

2. Materials used
Use a material which has been released by EOS for the relevant technology, or otherwise specify what qualification procedure has been used for the material and the material-technology-combination.

 

3. Laser-Sintering process
Use a parameter set which has been released by EOS for the relevant system and powder material, and document which parameter set is used, or otherwise specify what qualification procedure has been used for the parameters.

 

4. Part design, according to relevant design rules

5. Data preparation and post-processing
In accordance with recommendations published by EOS for the relevant system and powder material, or otherwise specify what procedure has been used and why, or how that procedure has been qualified.

 

Responsibilities

The provider of any parts or services supplied with reference to this Quality Standard is solely responsible for the fulfilment of the requirements and for any information provided in relation to those parts or services.
