EOS was founded in 1989 and is today the world leading manufacturer of laser-sintering systems. Laser-sintering is the key technology for e-Manufacturing, the fast, flexible and cost-effective production of products, patterns and tools. The technology manufactures parts for every phase of the product life cycle, directly from electronic data. Laser-sintering accelerates product development and optimizes production processes.

 

EOS completed its business year 2008/2009 with revenues of approximately 60 million Euros, which is an increase of 17 percent compared to the previous year. The company employs 300 people worldwide, 250 of them in Krailling near Munich, Germany.

Corporate Management

Dr. Hans J. Langer
EOS Founder and CEO

Dr. Hans J. Langer founded EOS in 1989 and today is its major shareholder steering the strategic direction of the EOS group as Chief Executive Officer. He contributes more than 25 years of experience in sales and marketing of laser based solutions. Before founding EOS his career included beeing Managing Director Europe at General Scanning, Inc.

Scientifically he dealt with lasers at the Max-Planck-Institute at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München where he received his Ph. D. with a thesis on laser technology.

Johann Oberhofer
COO

Johann Oberhofer joined EOS in 1991 and held several management positions ever since. In 1999 he became the Chief Operating Officer and since then he has the overall responsibility for operational business of the company.

He is holding a masters degree in engineering and management from University of applied sciences München and has more than 20 years of experience in the laser industry.

Peter Klink
Executive Vice President Sales

Peter Klink joined EOS in 1996 setting up a professional worldwide sales organisation. In Corporate Management Peter Klink is responsible for Global Customer Relations which includes sales as well as support. Also Global Marketing is reporting to Peter Klink. He has a 25 year background of managing high-tech organisations, especially in the fields of sales and marketing.

He has a masters degree in computer science from Universität Karlsruhe.
