EOS introduces three new laser-sintering systems:
In the field of plastic laser-sintering EOS has launched the new systems EOSINT P 395 and EOSINT P760. For the metal sector the EOSINT M 270 Dual Mode is available now. All of them offer various options according to customer’s individual requirements. In addition, all of these systems are highly productive, have a high degree of automation, enable a professional handling of material and have ergonomically designed peripherals. Under the Part Property Profiles (PPP) (see “Interesting to know”) all systems set a new standard in terms of defined part properties.
EOSINT P 395
The EOSINT P 395 is an improved version of the EOSINT P 390 that has been adapted for the new standard PPP and which contributes to an increase in productivity and a higher quality of the fully functional plastic parts. A completely re-designed laser optics module (surface module) improves the quality of vertical part surfaces into areas which up until now could only be achieved with a FORMIGA system. In addition the recoating unit has also been further improved and the blade cartridge concept is now in use that has been introduced in 2007. It enables an easy adjustment and a change between different the layer thicknesses. Under the PPP concept layer thicknesses between 60µm up to 180µm are possible.
EOSINT P 760
The EOSINT P 760 is an advancement of the EOSINT P 730, the second generation double-laser systems for plastic laser-sintering. With this new system EOS could further increase productivity. It now enables the manufacturing of parts in a quality similar to FORMIGA parts. New features like the laser optics module, the Flash Recoater or the Online Laser Power Control (OLPC) enhance application possibilities. For example, the OLPC is an optional component of the EOSINT P 760 which monitors and controls the laser power during the building process, consequently ensuring a more constant laser power than before. FlashRecoating enables a new x-axis control which increases productivity when using the "TopSpeed" and "Speed" parameter sets by accelerating the recoating speed to up to 400 mm/s. With an appropriate packing density, as a consequence build-up rates of up to 700 cm³/h are realistically achievable.
EOSINT M 270 Dual Mode
EOSINT M 270 Dual Mode: The system incorporates both the current Standard and Xtended installation modes, which makes it possible to switch operation between nitrogen and argon gases. This is done via a selection of the parameter set (job type), which leads to the system automatically choosing for example argon for Ti64 and nitrogen for MS1. It is launched with 11 part property profiles (PPP) for eight different powder materials. Pricing is flexible based on the standard basic system which then can be extended by a wide variety of options. In addition, this version will also be available as an upgrade for existing EOSINT M 270 systems. The next edition of our newsletter will contain more information about the EOSINT M 270 Dual Mode.
