Service Manager (m/f) Nordic based in Gothenburg

The Service Manager (m/f) is responsible for organizing and managing the group of Field Service Engineers in our region Nordic (Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Baltic countries). He/She has also to represent the group both internally and externally. The group leader will assume field-specific budgetary responsibility, with a separate cost center as the circumstances require, conduct Annual Reviews, and will be involved in Resource and Budgeting Planning. Acting as interface with the customer for escalated service cases and being the main contact to the central service organization in Krailling. The Service Manager will ensure service reports are available in local language and English; the workplace will be in our Swedish office which is based in Gothenburg

Your tasks


Management tasks:

  • Planning and assigning staff capacity, including holiday planning within the group 
  • Setting targets for the current business year and assessing target achievement in the context of annual and semi annual performance reviews 
  • Personnel planning in line with the business unit's annual planning in cooperation with the Regional Manager
  • Drive continuous improvement activities of the relevant service processes in cooperation with the Headquarter
  • Selecting personnel (recruitment) and conducting job interviews as well as employee development
  • Planning of vocational and professional training in coordination with the business unit 
  • Ensuring and implementing all occupational safety measures, risk assessment and method statements, in particular instigation and implementation of instructions
  • Be involved in aligning the service strategy and implementation in the Region with the Regional Director

Customer/Sales support:
  • Support your employees on customer site in escalation cases (delicate situations)
  • Define and develop solutions for customers (preliminary solutions)
  • Pick up customers' service requirements and feed in EOS organization
  • Regularly visit key customers Support manufacturing customer from service side (requirements, consulting)
  • Sales support during the preparation of service offers but also support by selling service contract
  • Ensuring know-how transfer from subsidiary to Headquarters and vice versa

Your profile

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Experience in a similar role including leading teams and technical solutions in an international company
  • Work experience of at least 5 years in the field of complex industrial equipment and with production /machines 
  • You will be expected to travel on an international basis

  • You have the ability to lead and motivate a team and provide a clear sense of direction to staff
  • This role requires a proactive and highly organised candidate who is experienced in managing conflicting priorities in a fast moving environment
  • Strong analytical as well as verbal and written communications skills in Swedish and English are required
