Industrial 3D printing provides solutions to many challenges that would not be possible by conventional manufacturing alone. The additive manufacturing technology is more than just rapid prototyping: from spare parts production on demand to series customization and automated 3D production cells for industrial manufacturing, anything is possible. This can be seen in the collaboration between EOS, manufacturers and companies in the mobility, logistics, and automotive sectors.
We support our customers in achieving ambitious production goals as they optimize their spare parts management and develop innovative vehicle designs. Throughout many projects, EOS solutions have provided benefits that could not have been achieved with conventional methods. Examples range from customized interiors to on-demand spare parts supply chains and engine components.
Discover how our customers from the automotive industry have successfully broken new ground with EOS 3D printers and additive manufacturing solutions. Where classical technologies reach their limits,
our solution chains for industrial 3D printing enable potential to be leveraged and products to be reimagined. Together with well-known companies from the vehicle manufacturing and motor sports sectors, we tackle a wide range of challenges with great success for our customers.
Currently, spare parts are manufactured, stored, and delivered at some point during the warranty period or eventually scrapped. With additive manufacturing, spare parts can be created on demand and in some cases locally – without tools and in the exact quantity required, without a minimum purchase volume. This avoids unnecessary overproduction and guarantees maximum customer satisfaction. Instead of resource-intensive warehouse logistics, the CAD data of the spare parts are saved and only sent off when necessary, a decentralized and highly efficient process.
