Purchasing Manager (m/f) 

HERE´S WHAT YOU´LL BE DOING

  • Investigate, establish, and support local sourcing activities for spare parts for NA market demands currently supplied by EOS GmbH
  • Investigate, establish, and support local sourcing activities for local production activities such as the Integra P400 system, working with suppliers to ensure regular supply
  • Work closely with EOS GmbH Purchasing team to identify, screen and develop supply base in NA for production parts for Germany-produced systems
  • Establish basic purchasing practices in North America, consolidating various processes currently in use
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers based on volume, price, quality, on-time delivery, and client service
  • Assess strategic sourcing decisions through data-driven financial return analysis
  • Build lean extended supply chain in all areas, creating flexible supplier partnerships
  • Initiate continuous quality improvement in work processes using root cause analysis
  • Assist in resolving supply issues, proactively recommending and driving improvement activity to avoid recurrence
  • Build relationship between NA and EOS GmbH Purchasing team members
  • Perform special projects and/or other duties of Purchasing department as needed


HERE´S WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum of 5-7 years' experience showing advancement in position and responsibilities
  • Purchasing management experience preferred
  • APICS certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management and lean principles required
  • Experience developing and using advanced negotiation techniques, writing commodity strategies, identifying and analyzing input cost drivers, benchmarking methodologies, supplier performance metrics and writing supplier contracts
  • Proven history of developing effective inventory management policies preferred
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of SAP is a significant plus
  • Willingness to learn and work with EOS-specific ERP systems
  • Proficient with Microsoft software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc…)
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Willingness to travel to other EOS locations as needed.
