The Aviation AM Centre Achieves EASA Certification for Metal 3D Printing on EOS Technology
The Aviation AM Centre expands its production capabilities with EOS 3D printing technology and an AMCM M290-2 1kw machine to deliver certified metal parts to the aerospace industry.

The Aviation AM Centre (AAMC), an EASA-approved aviation production organization specializing in additive manufacturing (AM) for the aerospace industry, has become the first independent AM parts manufacturer to qualify EOS metal 3D printing technology under its EASA Part-21/G approval.
Using an EOS customized metal additive manufacturing (AM) machine of EOS sister company AMCM, the Aviation AM Centre produces certified aircraft parts on state-of-the art industrial AM powder bed 3D printing technology. This enables the production of aircraft parts with EASA Form 1, the European Airworthiness Release Certificate, in a range of materials, such as aluminum, titanium, stainless steel and copper. The Certificate enables direct delivery of the parts to Maintenance providers as spare parts, cutting short lengthy logistics through the OEMs for part certification.
In close collaboration with the EOS team in Dusseldorf, AAMC has qualified both the manufacturing process and material, enabling the production of certified parts for airlines, MROs, OEMs, and suppliers. This adds another layer of manufacturing capabilities to serve the demand for spare parts in the aviation industry.

The Aviation AM Centre will deploy EOS metal powder bed technology to produce structural components in aircraft cabins and aircraft systems across a range of aircraft types, supporting aircraft maintenance. Given the current challenges in global supply chains, it is essential to keep existing aircraft in service as efficiently as possible. Here, metal and polymer 3D printing is already making a significant impact by revolutionizing the production of spare parts to improve their availability and cost-effectiveness.
