Incodema3D Grows its Industrial 3D Printing Production Capabilities with the Acquisition of their First EOS M 300-4
____ Novi, Michigan, December 13, 2022
Leading industrial 3D printing manufacturer, Incodema3D, continues its investments of direct metal laser solidification (DMLS®) metal 3D printers with its acquisition of the high-productivity EOS M 300-4 system. This marks Incodema3D’s 16th EOS industrial 3D printer and gives the organization expanded production capabilities.
As a leader in space technology, aerospace, and other highly engineered applications, Incodema3D has grown steadily. With the purchase of the EOS M 300-4 – one of the most technologically advanced additive manufacturing (AM) machines available, Incodema3D has expanded its metal AM capacity. The EOS M 300-4 produces consistent part quality over the entire build space and provides up to 10-times higher productivity while achieving up to 50% lower cost-per-part.
“We are excited to bring the latest EOS DMLS technology to our customers. We exclusively use EOS printers, and the EOS M 300-4 fits perfectly within our large fleet of metal 3D printers.
The EOS M 300-4 excels at producing small and medium size parts at volume – making it the first platform we look at when discussing production scaling with our customers.”
Sean Whittaker, Incodema3D president and CEO
Specification for the EOS M 300-4 include:
- Four 400 W precision fiber lasers, and full-field overlap with multiple laser assignment possibilities
- A build area of 300x300x400mm
- Scan speed: up to 7.0 m/s (23 ft./sec)
- Dual material recoaters that reduce the time between laser exposures, increasing productivity
- An expanding family of available materials, that currently includes: EOS StainlessSteel 316L, EOS Aluminum AlSi10Mg, EOS Titanium Ti64, EOS MaragingSteel MS1, EOS NickelAlloy IN625, and EOS StainlessSteel 17-4PH
“As an AM manufacturing pioneer, it is truly remarkable what Incodema3D has achieved. We are very proud of our more than 10-year relationship – a testament to the extraordinary value both organizations bring to our industry.”
Glynn Fletcher, EOS North America presiden
The relationship between Incodema3D and EOS dates to 2012 with the acquisition of their first EOS M 280 – a forerunner to the current EOS M 290 midframe metal 3D printer. Since then, their EOS fleet of machines now includes nine EOS M 280s, two EOS M 290s, four EOS M 400s, and now the EOS M 300-4.
