The business magazine Capital has been selecting Germany's "Young Elite - Top 40 under 40" once a year since 2007: These are 40 talents under 40 years of age from each of the four areas of management, entrepreneurship, science & society and politics & government who have the potential to achieve great things.

This year, Marie Langer, shareholder and CEO of EOS, the world’s leading technology supplier in the field of industrial 3D printing of metals and polymers, is being honored in the category of entrepreneurship. Capital has selected her from hundreds of candidates in several jury meetings over the past few weeks.

As the second founding generation after pioneer Dr. Hans J. Langer, Marie Langer has been CEO of EOS since October 2019 and is responsible for the strategic direction of EOS and its subsidiaries. Her central concerns are digitization, industrialization, sustainability and corporate culture. This involves the integration of industrial 3D printing into the digital value chain of production and the further industrialization of the technology for series production. At the same time, Langer is passionately driving forward a comprehensive corporate concept that combines innovation and sustainability with the goal of enabling responsible manufacturing that offers customers competitive yet sustainable solutions.

All Top 40 under 40 will be featured in the December issue of Capital starting November 19. In parallel, an event with these young leaders will address the question "The crisis of the century - how we must rethink, lead and decide".

Marie Langer has mastered a wide range of challenges since she took over the management of EOS - whether it is initiating a change process in her own company or overcoming the challenge posed by the Corona crisis. She is committed to a positive leadership culture, flat hierarchies, a team-of-teams approach and a sustainable and digital transformation.

"I share my father's entrepreneurial and technological vision and I am also expanding our corporate strategy in the second founding generation with my own and new focus. I am therefore very pleased to receive this award, as it shows that we are on the right track. My vision is that EOS will remain a technology leader in industrial 3D printing while making a sustainable contribution to solving the major challenges facing our world. With our technology, we want to promote economic growth, and at the same time make a positive environmental and social contribution."
